President's Corner
Dear Friends,
Dedication, creativity and a watchful eye for opportunity keep us energized during these challenging economic times. Our mission and ministry guide our focus, helping us to identify needs we can impact and to creatively assemble the necessary resources.
Our strategy for growth and service over the next few years revolves around increasing our reach, investing in people and building community. Specific emphasis will be given to meeting housing and service needs for our elderly citizens and our vulnerable veterans of Florida.
Our elders need comprehensive services to allow them the opportunity to continue to live in their homes in the community. Our wounded veterans returning from current conflicts and their families need to know their community is there to care, assist and serve them. Volunteers of America of Florida is positioning itself to impact these two growing populations in our state. I invite you to join us in our efforts as we move forward.
We are proud of our ten years of continuous accreditation by The Joint Commission. It attests to a national measure of excellence and quality important to our donors, funders, and supporters. Please give, volunteer, and tell our story to friends and family. We want more people in Florida to know who we are and what great things we do!
Thank you to all who are involved in helping us help many Floridians in need to help themselves.
