Ministry of Service

Shared Mission and Ministry of Service

We were founded with the clear intention of being and always remaining a religious movement. We are a Christian church inspired to answer God’s call to transform the world through a ministry of service that feeds, clothes, shelters and demonstrates to all people that we are the beloved children of God.

At our core, and in our daily actions, Volunteers of America of Florida assists through our outreach to homeless, disabled persons, families, veterans and seniors. Whether we are helping to meet an individual’s basic needs or helping them with securing housing, health services and /or training, education and employment services each of us as staff, volunteers, students  and board members share in our ministry of service. Our ministry and mission transcend any particular faith.

We offer individuals who wish to respond to God and to serve in an ecumenical non-sectarian setting the opportunity for community ministry. All faiths serve side by side united by the belief that as God’s servants we can help make a better world. Our ministry of service areas include:

  • Community service
  • Prayer requests
  • Pastoral care, counseling
  • Building dedications
  • Continuing education
  • Benevolence fund
  • National liaison, administrative support
    Music
