History
Expanding Outreach
From a small office in an apartment complex to a thriving operation center in Tampa, Volunteers of America of Florida
is known by its ministry of service. We are an established provider of comprehensive services for vulnerable Floridians. Responding to those we serve, we have grown from one affordable housing program to more than 50 service programs in 18 communities throughout the state.
In response to community needs, we uplift 5,500 individuals annually with a staff of 200 dedicated professionals. Our person-oriented, outcome-driven service approach offers affordable housing, behavioral health care, and training, education and employment services in an integrated continuum of care.
Elderly persons, veterans, individuals experiencing disabling conditions, persons struggling with substance abuse, as well as our friends and neighbors with limited financial resources benefit from personalized, dignified and compassionate human services. Volunteers of America of Florida offers a pathway to stability and self-sufficiency. For more than 20 years, we are known by our service. We are here for you now.
