The Home Depot Foundation Pledges $30 Million to Veterans Housing Issues
Volunteers of America, one of the largest nonprofit providers of affordable housing and services to veterans in the U.S., has partnered with The Home Depot Foundation to provide quality homes to veterans and their families. In Florida, The Home Depot Foundation has committed $150,000 to help renovate a 10-unit housing community for 30 veterans in Miami. This project also provides numerous opportunities for local Team Depot associate volunteers to get involved as well.
Venita's Story
Instead of seeing her disabilities as a barrier, Venita found support with Volunteers of America of Florida. She received the training she needed to work. Venita helps others with disabilities learn how get work. Venita wanted to be independent. Now, she proudly lives on her own.

“If you believe, you will find that anything is possible.” Edward was in a homeless shelter – just another face in the crowd. He knew he wanted more in his life. Today Edward believes.
